Get Another Slice of Jack Lemmon Today

The summer film series celebrating the actor shows 'The Apartment' today at 1 pm in the air-conditioned auditorium in the Barrington library.

Here are five things you should know about today in and around Barrington: 

  1. Sunshine mixes with clouds as temperatures rise again into the high 80s.
  2. “The Apartment,” the third film in the matinee summer series, A Slice of Lemmon, celebrating actor Jack Lemmon, airs at 1 pm in the air-conditioned Barrington library auditorium.
  3. Marijuana Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who share recovery from marijuana addiction, meets at 7 pm in the education building of Barrington Congregational Church, 461 County Road.
  4. The Town Museum operated by the Barrington Preservation Society is open from 11 am to 3 pm; its latest exhibit is titled “KIDS!” – how Barrington children lived, learned, worked and played more than 100 years ago.
  5. The Bristol County Water Authority board of directors meet at 6 pm in the BCWA offices on Child Street in Warren.
