Have You Spotted 'Person of Interest'?
Another mid-day burglary of a home on County Road in Barrington appears similar to the burglary of a Wood Avenue home that produced a "person of interest" spotted at the Dunkin' Donuts.

Police continue to look for a āperson of interestā in the mid-day burglary of a Wood Avenue home in Barrington on March 22.
Barrington Police Chief John LaCross said Monday morning that he is a āperson of interestā in another mid-day burglary that occurred last Monday, May 6, at a County Road home.Ā
The owner of the County Road home reported the burglary to police at around 4:30 pm. He had left the house around 11 am and returned about 20 minutes before reporting the illegal entry, according to the police report.

LaCross said the Wood Avenue burglar is believed to have entered that home in the same way he entered the County Road home ā through a rear window after pushing in a screen. And as the burglar did on Wood Avenue, he focused primarily on the master bedroom, stealing a Coach watch, wooden boxes with approximately $60 worth of coins in them, and other items still being determined.Ā
The Wood Avenue āperson of interestā was described as in his early 20s, weighing about 200 pounds, and standing about 5-8 to 5-10. He was wearing a blue or gray baseball cap, a white hooded sweatshirt with what is believed to be a Boston Red Sox logo and the words āDale JR 88ā on the front, and blue sweat pants with a white stripe down the side. He was wearing blue sneakers with a red accent.Ā

A suspect matching that description was spotted on the closed-circuit TV system at Dunkinā Donuts on County Road, which is a short walk to Wood Avenue.
There are no suspects now for the County Road burglary, LaCross said. The break-in is the first one in Barrington since April 10 after more than two dozen reported housebreaks, he said. Police did make an arrest about a month ago.
