Library Added as Official 'Cooling Center'

The heat wave is expected to continue at least one more day; Barrington library is a great place to cool off if you don't have air conditioning.

The Barrington Public Libary has been added to the list of official cooling centers in Rhode Island by the emergency management agency.

Cooling center have been set up around the state as temperatures could hit 100 degrees today, July 19, as the heat wave continues  with plenty of humidity making things feel like a steam bach. That could mean you need a place to go if you don't have air conditioning in your home or apartment.

The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) urges you to take advantage of a nearby cooling center when you need one.
