Man Charged With Driving Car in Barrington With Stolen Plate, Etc.
Police also cite Providence man for driving without license, registration, insurance, and inspection sticker.

A Providence man, 46, was charged with receiving stolen goods by Barrington police after he was stopped on Saturday morning, July 6, on County Road.
Carlton J. Pona, of Elmwood Avenue, was traveling south at about 11 am when a patrol officer on a routine traffic post noticed that his 1999 Ford Mustang had an expired inspection sticker. He was pulled over a few minutes later.Â
After the officer ran his name through the criminal database, it was learned that Pona also was driving a vehicle with a license plate that was stolen from another vehicle on June 24 not far from his home in Providence.

Pona also was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle without insurance and driving without a license, police said.
Pona was taken to the police station on Federal Road where he was arraigned by a justice of the peace. He was released with a date to appear in District Court to face the charges.
