Police Bust Another Underage Drinking Party Saturday Night in Barrington

Three underage Barrington drinkers face possession of alcohol charges after police busted a house party on Adelaide Avenue on Saturday evening, July 20. 

Police officers responded to a report of the party at about 10 pm after twice attempting to make contact by telephone.

More than 17 people were attending the party, said Barrington Police Chief John LaCross. All but the three young adults charged scattered when patrol officers arrived. Police officers found beer in the hands of the three who were charged.

Facing the charges are Emily M. Vatter, 19, of 9 Adelaide Ave., who was hosting the house party; Julian P. Lucas, 19, of 4 Tallwood Drive; and William A. Brown, 20, of 41 Fales Ave.

They each received a summons to appear in District Court to face the alcohol possession charges.

It is believed that the young woman’s parents were out of town for the weekend.
