Santa Arrives In Barrington For Christmas Tree Lighting Saturday
The day also includes holiday cookie decorating, snowman bowling, live music and holiday carnival games.
BARRINGTON, RI — Santa Claus will be in Barrington for a special day to kick off the holiday season. Barrington's annual tree lighting ceremony and holiday festivities in the town village are set for Saturday
The festivities will start at 2 p.m., with cookie decorating, snowman bowling and holiday carnival games. All cookies for the event were donated by Vienna Bakery. Cookie decorating goes until 3:30 p.m., while games go until 4 p.m.
After the festive activities, Santa will arrive at 3:45 p.m., and the evening will shift towards the annual tree lighting. If your children want to write a letter to Santa, the Barrington Recreation Department has the following templates that can be printed out and given to jolly old Saint Nick himself.

Before the tree gets lit up at 5 p.m., there will be three musical performances, beginning at 4:15 p.m. Performers include Arts Alive, the Barrington Middle School a'capella chorus and the Barrington High School choral ensemble. The choral ensemble will also perform as the tree gets lit up.
