You Have Another Week to Buy 'Daffodils for Barrington'
Hameho Garden Club members plant the bulbs around Barrington as a 'civic beautification program'.

You still have a week to buy some daffodils for your garden and help to beautify Barrington at the same time.
The Hameho Garden Club is taking orders through Aug. 29, said Nickie Green, who is heading the “Daffodils for Barrington” campaign for the 17th year.
"It's our annual civic beautification program," Green said.

Half of your order will be delivered to your door by; the other half will be planted by garden club members in public spots around town -- such as the Town Hall, the triangle at the intersection of Massasoit Avenue and New Meadow Road, and the garden behind Town Hall.
Daffodils include two varieties: King Alfred Jumbo and Tahiti. The first variety are bright yellow trumpet; the second variety are soft yellow with an orange cup double center. The bulbs will be delivered by late September.

Prices for the bulbs are $16 for 20 (you get 10) or $40 for 50 bulbs (you get 25).
You can find order sheets tacked up on bulletin boards in stores and coffee shops around Barrington. Send them with a check payable to Hameho Garden Club, Inc. to Daffodils for Barrington, 5 Brookfield Ave., Barrington, RI 02806.
