Your Guide to RI Boat Show

The Rhode Island Boat Show takes place this weekend, May 4-5, at five locations throughout the Ocean State. Here's what you need to know before you go.

 

Just in time for the beating season in Barrington, the annual Rhode Island Boat Show will sail through the state this weekend, May 4-5. 

The show includes five different locations chosen to showcase the state as a leading recreational boating destination with a diverse group of boating businesses, facilities and products, according to the website.

Exhibitors will include everything from sailing schools to marine painting, plus sail and powerboats for sale, ranging in size from 15 to 49 feet. The boats will be in the water and on land.

There are four separate 60-minute hands-on clinics that provide instruction on specific powerboating skills. There is a nominal registration fee for each session.

For a more in-depth experience and more practice time, there are two separate, 3-hour seminars. You can choose “Powerboating Made Easy” or “Advanced Docking & Precision Boat Control.” There is a a registration fee for each seminar.
