Acting: It's Theatrical Thursday at today. Kids get to create an original production, complete with costumes, and then perform their “play in a day” at pick-up time. Starts at 9 am. Day rate $35 members, $45 non-members, $25 for half-day program.
Hunting: George Hail Library hosts Wild About Raptors presented by Born to Be Wild Nature Center. 2 pm. Geared toward ages 5 to 12. Free. Registration required. Call (401) 245-7686 for more information.
Exploring: With a sunny day and highs in the 50s forecast for today, maybe it's a good chance to get to Roger Williams Park Zoo for the next-to-last day of its Party for the Planet. Gully from the Newport Gulls, hula hooping, and the ever-popular 'Wormladies" are all on today's schedule. 11 am to 3 pm. Adults: $14.95; Children (ages 3 through 12), $9.95.
