DUIs, Third Resisting Arrest Charge, Too Early for Trash Pick-Up

The Warren Police Department reported the following recent arrests and incidents:

- Robert Rioux, 42, of 3 Fifth St., on charges of DUI; eluding police, second offense; driving with a suspended license; resisting arrest; and refusal to submit to a chemical test, following a traffic stop on Cole Street on March 26 at about 10:30 pm. He was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, for violating terms of suspended sentences imposed in separate cases brought previously by Warren Police. Judge Mary E. McCaffreyĀ sentenced Rioux to 90 days in prison for a June, 2012, charge of resisting arrest to which he pleaded no contest, and another 90 days for a September, 2012, charge of resisting arrest. He is due for a bail review on the new charges on May 24.
- Stephen Razza, 27, of 17 Denver Ave., on a warrant issued by Milford, MA, Police, on March 28 at about 12:30 pm. Officers transported Razza to Sixth District Court, Warwick, where he waived extradition and was ordered held without bail on two charges of being a fugitive from justice. He was due for a status conference yesterday; no information was available on the Rhode Island Judiciary website when this report was compiled.
- Kaley Norris, 21, of 8 Baker St., on charges of marijuana possession and driving in possession of controlled substances, following a traffic stop on Market Street on March 28 at 5:05 pm. She was released on personal recognizance until a scheduled Apr. 5 arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick.
- Terrald Babers, 57, of 14 Joyce St., on a bench warrant issued by Sixth District Court, Warwick, following a traffic stop at Main and Liberty Streets on March 30 at about 6:45 am. The warrant was issued for failure to appear at an arraignment on a charge of disorderly conduct brought by Warren Police on March 8. He was released on personal recognizance until a scheduled Apr. 5 arraignment.
- Heather Lake, 24, of 241 Market St., on a charge of driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop at Market and Chestnut Streets on arch 30 at about 10:30 pm.
- Jonathan Castelo, 33, of 15 Berkley St., Providence, on a charge of driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop at Kickemuit Road and Meadow Street on March 30 at 10:40 pm. He is scheduled for an Apr. 12 arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick.
- Christine Johns, 22, of 3 St. Theresa Ave., Bristol, on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test, following a traffic stop at Main Street and Locust Terrace on March 31 at 1 am. She is scheduled for an Apr. 5 arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick.
- Michael Vento, 53, of 10 Central St., on a warrant issued for charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct, on March 31 at about 4:30 pm. He was released on personal recognizance until a scheduled Apr. 12 arraignment, and a no-contact order was issued.
- Andraudy Campbell, of 318 Metacom Ave., on a felony charge of driving a vehicle without the owner's consent, on Apr. 1 at 2:30 am. Warren officers took custody of Campbell from Newport Police following his arrest in that city. He is due for a felony hearing on June 3.
Other reports:
- The Warren animal control officer reported the return of a dog to its owner on Touisset Road on March 25 at 9:20 am.
- Officers responded to an open fire on March 25 at about 11:30 am and later reported the fire put out.
- On March 25 at about 1:45 pm, officers reported a dog hit by a school bus.
- Responding to a call on March 26 at 5:05 am, officers reported finding a Patriot Disposal truck starting its route. Police reports indicate that the driver was warned not to start until 7 am or he would be cited.
- Officers responded to Serpentine and Kickemuit Roads on March 28 at about 8:30 am for a report of needles found on the ground.
- On March 30 at about midnight, officers responded to a home on Main Street for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bike was later found at Main and Broad Streets.
