Mt. Hope Masqueraders Lend Voices to ART Night Bristol Warren

The Franco Coli Award winning troupe from Mt. Hope High School serenaded participants on Apr. 25.

Among the many attractions during the Apr. 25 kick-off for ART Night Bristol Warren were performances by the Mt. Hope Masqueraders, who used the event as a warm-up to their upcoming shows of Hello Dolly! set for May 9 through 12 at Mt. Hope High School.

Jane Carney, lead photographer for the drama group, explained in a recent email that the ensemble performed "Put on Your Sunday Clothes" at Rogers Free Library and Alta Luna Gallery "for a very grateful audience" before taking the trolley to Cutler Mills in Warren to end the night.

"All in all, the cast feels the night was very fun, eventful and a great chance to get the word out about our upcoming show," Carney wrote.

Anthony Murgo, Ricki Souza, Alex O'Hanley, Ava Mascena, Rachel Magers and Michelle Cardoza are the leads of the troupe, which earlier this year won the Franco Coli Award for excellence in ensemble work at the 85th Annual Rhode Island State Drama Festival.
