Central Falls Man Charged With Computer Crime: Cops

The Central Falls man was arrested Thursday, the Rhode Island State Police said.

CENTRAL FALLS, RI — A Central Falls man was charged with accessing a computer with ill intent, police said.

Sadio Sokona, 32, was arrested Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police Financial Crimes Unit, according to a media release.

Sokona, a resident of Perry Street, was charged with unlawful appropriation and access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes, the state police said.

"Mr. Sokona was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released on $10,000 personal recognizance," police said.

State police Maj. Kenneth M. Moriarty failed to respond to a request for further information on Sokona's arrest.
