CCFD Board of Directors Candidate: Robert Hadley

Robert is one of 12 candidates vying for a seat on the Central Coventry Fire District Board of Directors, which will be decided with an all-day vote on June 29.

Bob Hadley, of 346 Town Farm Road, is a retired bank auditor and accounting professional and is running as one of the six Taskforce-endorsed candidates for the Board.

He has been continually active in the life of Coventry as a scoutmaster, softball coach, Jaycees’ president, board member of the Kent Country YMCA and, from 1983 to 1991, a board member of the Central Coventry Fire District.

Bob believes that taxpayers need open accountability for where their money is spent and why, as well as fire protection and rescue squad services they can afford at a reasonable tax rate.

“I feel with my accounting, budget background and management skills of working with unions and boards of directors I can help lead us out of these years of financial problems,” he said.

The Special Election will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, in the Town Council Chambers at the Coventry Town Hall (1675 Flat River Rd.).
