CCFD Board of Directors Candidate: Ron Gizzarelli
Ron is one of 12 candidates vying for a seat on the Central Coventry Fire District Board of Directors, which will be decided with an all-day vote on June 29.
Ron Gizzarelli of 50 Harrington Road is a longtime Coventry resident, AFSCME RI Retirees Chapter 94 Trustee and former member of the Central Coventry Fire District Board of Directors. He has also been an active member of the Tiogue Lake Association for well over a decade during which he has worked tirelessly with fellow members to successfully mitigate the invasive weed and pollution problems that plagued the area for years.
In his campaign mailing sent to Central Coventry residents, Gizzarelli had the following message for those planning to cast a vote during Saturday's Special Election:
"There are a lot of lies and misinformation being spread in regard to the Central Coventry Fire District. I want to make one thing absolutely clear: I am a fighter for the taxpayers of Coventry," he said. "I will make it my top priority to prevent a tax increase. I refuse to throw good money after bad. Efficient and effective public safety is my priority. On Saturday, June 29th, elect the candidate you can trust not to take more money out of your pocket."
