COVENTRY, RI—Poor road conditions caused by an early-spring snowstorm has necessitated a parking ban, according to Coventry police.
Coventry residents will be required to observe the ban from 2 p.m. Monday until 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The ban was not announced until Monday afternoon when a second round of snow showers began delivering thick flakes that covered the road and added to the accumulation already on the ground.

"Please remove your vehicles from the roadway to assist in the cleanup," police said in a post on their Facebook page. "Noncompliance may result in fines and/or towing."
