Coventry Police: Home Invasion Monday, Suspect At Large
The intruder slapped a pregnant woman after he got inside, but she was not injured, police said. The intruder did not steal anything.

COVENTRY, RI–A pregnant woman and her young son were at home Monday afternoon when a stranger broke into their house, police said. The home invasion happened around 4:29 p.m. on New London Turnpike near Tiffany Road. The suspect had "dark hair and a medium build. He was wearing a yellow baseball hat, white Old Navy sweatshirt with a blue bear, and dark pants, police said. He allegedly hit her in the face and pushed her before he ran away. He was last seen in an orange/copper Sport Utility Vehicle going west toward Interstate 95.
"Photographs and video of the suspect and the vehicle are being released in an effort to identify the suspect," police said. "The East Greenwich and West Greenwich Police Departments have also received complaints of house breaks involving a similar suspect within the last week."
