Coventry Resident Arrested Following Disturbance At Polling Site

COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man has been arrested and is facing a charge of disorderly conduct after a disturbance at a polling site Tuesday morning, according to the Coventry Police Department.

Timothy Masse, 33, was accused of being "confrontational with voters, political supporters, and election staff, yelling obscenities and vulgar remarks interfering with polling operations" at the Maple Root Baptist Church site around 10:15 a.m., police said.

Masse continued to cause a disturbance after officers arrived, according to police.

"Responding officers were able to speak with local elections officials and other witnesses, as well as
the involved male subject, as to the events that occurred," police added.
