Five Things, August 2: Zoning Board Site Walk, Fall Ball and More
Today is Friday, August 2, 2013 and here are five things to know today.

Friday Night Lawn Concert: At 6 p.m. tonight, the Church of the Apostles (170 Fairview Ave.), will host an evening of praise and music with "JC and the Sonshine Band" (Pastor Joe Campbell and friends). The concert will be held rain or shine! (Weather permitting, it will be outdoors, so bring a blanket or lawn chair!) Hotdogs and hamburgers will be available at 5:30 p.m.
Zoning Board Site Walk: The Coventry Zoning Board of Review has issued a Public Site Walk Notice for today, August 2 at 4 p.m., at 75 Airport Road, Unit 3 in Coventry. The Site Walk will be conducted in regards to the the application submitted by Mike's Professional Tree Service, Inc., for a proposed commercial wood lot, firewood sales and storage at the location. CLL Fall Ball Walk-In Signup: There will be a Walk-In Fall Ball Registration this Sunday, August 4, from 9-12 p.m. at the Coventry Community Center for the Coventry Little League's 2013 Fall Ball season. Registrations can still be made online as well at the Coventry Little League website.

Plan Ahead - Pink Heals Reception: The Pink Heals National Tour will arrive right here in Coventry on August 27! The RI Chapter is holding a welcome reception at Nino's on Lake Tiogue at 6 p.m., complete with a family-style dinner!
