Five Things, July 25: Fall Ball Registration, This Week in History and More
Today is Thursday, July 25, 2013 and here are five things you should know about.

CLL Fall Ball: Registration for Coventry Little League's Fall Ball season is now open online at www.coventrylittleleague.com! Registration ages for the upcoming season range from 8 to 12 years old and are grouped by 8/9's, 10/11's and 12's, however exceptions may be made for players wishing to "play up". Dog Park Fundraising Help: Lisa Finneran, President of the newly-formed Coventry Dog Park Association, is looking for volunteers to help raise donations to go towards building the highly-anticipated dog park behind the Town Hall Annex on Flat River Road. If you are interested, or have suggestions for raising funds, contact Lisa at Lfinneran12@gmail.com.

Artisans and Crafters: The Friends of the Coventry Public Library are now accepting applications for artisans and crafters for the 3rd Annual Fall Artisan Fair to be held on Saturday, Oct. 5. Contact Virginia at lynchkids96@verizon.net or call (401) 826-1122 for an application or more information.
This Week in Coventry History: This week last year, the Coventry School Committee appointed two new Assistant Superintendents for the school district, Michael Almeida and Lee Rabbitt. Since that meeting, Ms. Rabbitt has left the district and Mr. Almeida was appointed to the position of school superintendent.
Pasta Dinner Fundraiser THIS SATURDAY: Tickets are still available for the fundraising event, "Raising the Roof On Humanity", a pasta dinner organized by the wives and significant others of the Central Coventry firefighters, with the hopes of raising enough money to repair the leaking roof of the late CCFD Battalion Chief Bill Hall's house. The dinner will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the West Warwick Elks Club (60 Clyde St., West Warwick) and will cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.
