Today is Thursday, June 27, 2013 and here are five things you should know about.

Brand Spanking New: Welcome to the new Coventry Patch! We hope you like our makeover! As you peruse the site, take a look at the improvements that have been made to features like the blogging platform and navigation tabs - all designed to streamline your Patch experience. Also, be sure to check out the new "Boards" feature where you can post announcements, events and classifieds, as well as start your own conversation with fellow Coventry residents! WCFD Board Meeting: The Western Coventry Fire District Board of Directors will meet this evening at 7 p.m. at the district's Summit Station located at 1110 Victory Hwy., Greene. Click here to view tonight's agenda.

CPL Summer Reading: Registration is now open for Coventry Public Library's Summer Reading Program, "Dig Into Reading". Children entering grades 1-5 may register online at www.coventrylibrary.org or in person. CPL librarians will track summer reading progress, offer crafts and hold special performances and events throughout the summer. Call 822-9102 for more information.

CPL Book Discussion: The Coventry Public Library will host its Adult Book Discussion this evening from 6-7 p.m. This month's selection is Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman, described as a mix of Steel Magnolias and The Help. Be sure to ask about July's book selection so the library staff can order a copy for you!
