Your Guide: August 2-4, Charlestown Seafood Festival
Rhode Island's biggest seafood festival is back this weekend for its 29th year!
The Charlestown Chamber of Commerce will hold its 29th Annual Seafood Festival beginning Friday, August 2, 2013!
If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, round up your family and friends for a weekend full of Rhode Island's best seafood and much more.
The festival, named one of the "Top 100 Events in North America for 2008", will be held Aug. 2 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Aug. 4 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A self-proclaimed "gastronomic extravaganza" of seafood, patrons will be able to choose from lobsters, steamers, chowder, fish & chips, lobster rolls, clam cakes and a raw bar, as well as a selection of goodies that will please anyone's tastebuds.
In addition to the vast array of seafood offered, the festival will also feature a variety of arts & crafts, shopping opportunities for all ages, midway entertainment, rock wall climbing, bungee jumping, amusement rides and a Marcolites Kite exhibition. Live music will be performed by local bands and artists continuously during all three festival days, a fireworks display is slated for 9 p.m. on Saturday, and a car show will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Admission to the rain or shine event is $8 for adults. Children 10 and under are free.Â
