2 Cars, Home Catch Fire In Cranston
Cranston fire officials say all six residents of the Park Avenue home escaped safely.
CRANSTON, RI — A house in Cranston caught fire Wednesday morning after it spread from two burning cars outside the home, fire officials said.
According to fire officials, two cars caught fire on opposite sides of the Park Avenue home around 3:45 a.m. Fire officials said the back of the home also sustained damage.
Six people were home when the fire happened, but all of them escaped without injury, fire officials said.

Police investigated whether the fire was the result of arson or other suspicious causes, but later determined it was accidental. According to fire officials, the fire started when someone took embers from a fireplace and put them in a container outside.
