WARWICK, RI — Two people from Providence were arrested after trying to break into a liquor store and then breaking into another store and stealing scratch tickets, Warwick police said Wednesday.

Around 7:36 p.m. Nov. 19, police were called to a security alarm activation at Warwick Liquors at 445 West Shore Drive. While officers were responding to the alarm, another security alarm went off at Bader Market, a neighboring business.

At Warwick Liquors, police found the glass door had damage, but was not breached. But at the Bader Market, a break-in through the front glass door was successful. Police said Rhode Island Lottery scratch tickets were stolen from the market.
