PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island reached another COVID-19 pandemic milestone this week. As of Thursday, just over 700,000 residents were fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

That represents just under two-thirds of all Rhode Island residents, or approximately 74 percent of those aged 12 and older, who are eligible to get vaccinated.

Throughout the summer, Gov. Dan McKee and the Rhode Island Department of Health urged all eligible Rhode Islanders to get vaccinated as soon as possible, using the governor's new vaccine slogan: "It's time."
