Brown University Requires COVID-19 Boosters For Students, Staff
Eligible students and staff must get a booster shot by the first day of classes in the new term.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Brown University took a big step in COVID-19 prevention, announcing that all students, staff and faculty will be required to get a vaccine booster before the start of the spring semester.
The university said booster shots "are essential for individual and community health." The requirement includes everyone on campus, including faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, visiting researchers, lecturers and seasonal and intermittent staff.
Booster shots must be received by Jan. 26, the first day of class, for those who are eligible. Anyone who isn't yet eligible will be required to get a booster within 30 days of becoming eligible.
