Burglars Steal Power Equipment from Cranston Business Twice in One Night

Police are now searching for the two generator-stealing men and hope the public can help them generate leads.

Cranston police seek two criminals who smashed their way into American Lawnmower on Dyer Avenue and stole generators, backpack blowers and a hedge trimmer during two separate break-ins on the same night.

Police said the business was broken into on Nov. 6 by way of a smashed front door. The suspects stole three Honda Generators valued at $3,000 and left. Two hours later, police said, they came back and stole three Husqvarna backpack blowers valued at $1,100 along with a Husqvarna hedge trimmer valued at $350.

The crimes were caught on video and police released images on Thursday in the hopes the public can help them obtain an identification.
