Jan. 25

3:11 p.m. — Leotis Harris, 63, of Providence, was charged with felony shoplifting. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to the Walmart on Plainfield Pike.
3:53 p.m. — Mario Aponte, 19, of Providence, was charged with larceny under $1,500. Police said the arrest stemmed from a previously issued warrant. Aponte was turned over by Rhode Island State Police.

6:33 p.m. — Derik Moran, 45, of Providence, was charged with shoplifting and conspiracy. Police said Moran was arrested on a warrant and was picked up by Rhode Island State Police.
Jan. 26
8:57 a.m. — Jeison Cuevas Jiminez, 29, of Cranston, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Third District Court. Police said the arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 1 and Reservoir Avenue.
1:58 p.m. — Gentina Smith, 43, of North Providence, was charged with felony shoplifting. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to the Stop & Shop on Garfield Avenue.
3 p.m. — Gary Arnold, 36, of Cranston, was charged with indecent exposure/disorderly conduct (first offense). He was also arrested on two warrants, one out of Rhode Island Superior Court, and the other out of Third District Court. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to Pontiac Avenue.
Jan. 27
2:15 a.m. — Payne Sayavong, 20, of Cranston, was charged with reckless driving/eluding police, violating a no-contact order, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty. Police said the arrest happened after a traffic stop on Peerless Street.
11:01 a.m. — Armani Vasquez, 18, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault
3:34 p.m. — Joshua Perez, 35, of Johnston, was charged with embezzlement/fraudulent conversion over $100. Police said the arrest stemmed from an embezzlement investigation at Technic at 1 Spectacle St.
7:26 p.m. — Artur Faryan, 43, of Cranston, was charged with possession of cocaine. Police said the arrest stemmed from an erratic driver on Eldridge Street.
