Cranston Detectives Investigating Shooting

CRANSTON, RI—Cranston detectives are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting outside a Garden Street house.

WPRI reported that a man was shot in the foot after leaving a party at 74 Garden Street at around 2:30 a.m.

Police found shell casings in the street and are investigating a report that a dark SUV drove up to the victim and a passenger rolled down a window and started shooting.

The victim was not at the scene when police first arrived after reports from several residents that gunshots were heard. The victim reportedly went to Rhode Island Hospital for his injuries and police were notified.
