Cranston Lights its Christmas Tree Monday

Festivities begin in front of Town Hall at 6 p.m.

Cranston will officially kick off the holiday season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting in front of City Hall tonight.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and include music and refreshments before the big moment when the switch is flipped and the trees (and shrubs) in front of City Hall light up brightly.

Police usually block off Park Avenue to traffic for the tree lighting ceremony and there is ample free parking behind City Hall at 869 Park Ave.
