CRANSTON, RI — The Cranston Police Department is looking to hire new officers to its force.

The department is now seeking applications from qualified candidates. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m May 5. All applications must be submitted online here.

Qualified candidates must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 upon hiring, and have a high school diploma or GED.

Appointment to the department is subject to a satisfactory background investigation, medical exam, psychological exam and drug screening.
