Cranston Man Indecently Solicited Child: Cops

CRANSTON — A Cranston man indecently solicited a child and disseminated indecent material to a minor, police said.
James Tripp, 38, was arrested Thursday on one count of indecent solicitation of a child and four counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor, according to the Rhode Island State Police.
Tripp was arrested by the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force , police said.

"Mr. Tripp was processed at State Police Headquarters and transported to Third District Court for arraignment," police said, and his bond was set $5,000 with surety along with limited internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.
State police Maj. Kenneth M. Moriarty failed to respond to a request for further information on Tripp's case.
