CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police have asked for the public's help identifying a man they said attacked someone with a hammer.

Police said the assault happened on Dec. 31, 2023, on Reservoir Avenue. After attacking the victim, police said the suspect fled the scene. Police described the suspect as a man in his 60s.
