Cranston Police: Two Armed Robberies Overnight

Cranston police are working on two armed robberies that happened Friday night, police said.

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police are working on two armed robberies that happened early Saturday, police said. The first one happened at 3:44 a.m. at the Mobile gas station, 1282 Elmwood Ave. Then at 4:10 a.m., the 7-Eleven at 535 Reservoir Ave., was hit. Maj. Todd Patalano said the robber showed a gun. Police are not saying how much money was stolen. They do believe both robberies are the work of the same suspect who also robbed the 7-Eleven on June 2.

"We do have many similarities in all three cases and are working to identify the individual(s) responsible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Robert Santagata at 401-477-5169, Maj. Patalano said.
