Police say the scammers have posed as Cranston officers over the phone in an attempt to fraudulently solicit money from their victims.
CRANSTON, RI —Cranston police urged residents to be on the lookout for scam callers impersonating police officers.
According to police, the scammers have recently posed as Cranston officers over the phone in an attempt to fraudulently solicit money from their victims.
Police said they will never call people in an attempt to retrieve money or fines.
