Cranston To Start 2022 Yard Waste Collection In April

Cranston collects yard waste at the curb from April through mid-December.

CRANSTON, RI — Spring weather is finally here in Rhode Island, leading many to plan their gardens and start cleaning up yard debris from the winter months. Although the warmer temperatures appear to be here to stay, Cranston residents have a few weeks to wait before weekly yard waste pickup resumes.

Cranston's yard waste collection will resume starting the week of April 5. Residents are asked to place their yard waste at the curb with their trash and recycling bins on their regular pickup day.

Waste must be placed in large paper bags or a corrugated cardboard box or trash barrel clearly marked "yard waste." Plastic bags will not be accepted. Branches must be bundled and no longer than 4 feet long.
