CRANSTON, RI — The following people were arrested by Cranston police between Thursday and Saturday.

Thursday

7:32 p.m. — Michael Muniz, 58, of Cranston, was charged with possession of firearms by certain persons prohibited and two counts of alteration of marks of identification on firearms. Police said the arrest happened after a call for a disturbance on Eddy Street.

7:32 p.m. — Elijah Amalfitano, 21, of Smithfield, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Friday

5:01 p.m. — Alfred Dannin, 73, of Cranston, was charged with domestic strangulation and domestic disorderly conduct.

5:33 p.m. — Christian Pimentel, 19, of Providence, was charged with two counts of embezzlement/ fraudulent conversion over $100. Police said the arrest happened after a service call to Walmart at 1776 Plainfield Pike.

5:48 p.m. — Stanely Alston, 54, of Providence, was charged with shoplifting, resisting legal or illegal arrest and disorderly conduct. Police said the arrest happened after a service call to Dollar General at 1548 Broad St.

Saturday

12:29 a.m. — Jansel Hernandez, 22, of Providence, was charged with being a fugitive from justice. Police said the arrest happened after a car stop on Norwood and Pawtuxet Avenue.
