Brother Dies, Another In Critical Condition After East Providence Crash
The crash killed one brother, left another in critical condition, and sent another person to the hospital, East Providence police say.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence police have identified a man who died in a car crash in the city on Friday night.
Police identified the victim as Jacob Crenshaw, 24, of Pawtucket. He was one of three people who suffered injuries in the two-car crash near the intersection of Pawtucket Avenue and Catlin Avenue.
Around 8 p.m., police were called to the intersection for a report of a crash. When officers arrived, they found a Nissan on the front lawn of a home on Pawtucket Avenue and a Nissan still in the street, police said. Three people — two from one car and one from the other, were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence following the crash.

Crenshaw, who was a passenger, in one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. Police said his brother, Andrew Crenshaw,27, was the driver and was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon.
The Subaru driver, a 22-year-old from Providence, is in stable condition, according to police.

Police said they are still investigating what caused the crash, but speed was believed to be a factor. No charges have been filed.
