Easter 2022: What's Open, Closed In Rhode Island

Certain stores and businesses will be open on Easter Sunday, though many will close early for the holiday.

RHODE ISLAND — Easter is Sunday, a celebration of family and springtime. For the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, many families will come together to cleebrate.

Because the holiday falls on a Sunday, most municipal services are already closed for the day, including libraries, state and local offices and regular postal service. Rhode Island Public Transit Authority buses will run on the Sunday/holiday schedule.

If you're hoping to go out for shopping or dining, some businesses will be open. Be sure to call ahead if you’re unsure about a specific spot.
