CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police arrests so far in 2019 include embezzlement, false reporting, false documents and counterfeiting. Here's some of what police have been up to in the past week.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

Around 9:45 p.m., police arrested Joseph Franklin, 30, of 8 Summer Ave., on a charge of a false report of a crime after a suspicious activity call on Whipple Avenue.

Thursday, Jan. 3

Around 5:45 p.m., police arrested Dillin Cloutier, 19, of 1292 Post Rd., Warwick, on a warrant for embezzlement/fraudulent conversion.

Friday, Jan. 4

Around 6 p.m., Christopher Carvalho, 23, of 11 What Cheer Ave., Providence, was pulled over on Hillwood Street and arrested on charges of illegal evidence of financial security, giving false documents to public officials, forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates.

Around 8 p.m., police pulled over Emanuel Jenkins, 42, of 158 Burnside St., Providence, on Cranston Street and arrested him on charges of possession of a scheduled drug, forgery and counterfeiting registration of plates and driving on a suspended license for the third (or more) time.
