Lane Closure For Bridge Repairs On Cranston's Route 37

CRANSTON, RI — One lane of Route 37 East in Cranston was closed to allow for bridge repairs near the Interstate 295 interchange, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation said. The repairs are on the bridge that carries the highway over the Washington Secondary Bike Path.

Drivers heading through the area on Route 37 or on the ramps to I-295 North or South are asked to use extra caution and slow down in the work zone.

At least one lane will be closed until the end of the week. The closure does not affect the bike path.
