New Warwick Mall Movie Theater To Open March 3
Apple Cinemas took over the building previously occupied by Showcase Cinemas.
WARWICK, RI — The new movie theater at the Warwick Mall will open next month, the mall announced Wednesday. Apple Cinemas will screen its first movie March 3.
The theater took over the building previously occupied by Showcase Cinemas, which was forced to close during the coronavirus pandemic and did not renew its lease.
The new theater was initially said to be opening Fall 2021. The reason for the delay was not disclosed.

The mall said the new theater will feature luxury seating, 4K projection and will be the first in the state to have a Dolby Atmos sound experience and a large screen format.
The first film to be shown will be "The Batman," which will screen as an early preview the day before its release.
