Obituary: Felix "Nick" Balasco, 85

Felix “Nick” Balasco, 85, of Cranston passed away peacefully at home December 30, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Florence (Cardullo) Balasco for 60 years. Born in Providence a son of the late Vincenzo and Carmina (Conca) Balasco.

Mr. Balasco was a machine operator for Marshall & Williams Co. for 24 years. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. Nick was a former member of the St. Raymond’s Leisure Group. He enjoyed meeting his friends at the Warwick Mall.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children; Gail Faucher and husband David, Steven Balasco, Michael Balasco and two grandchildren; Stephanie Brock and Gianna Balasco. He was the brother of the late Armand, Anthony, Vincent, Leo and Raymond Balasco and Nina Bragg.

His funeral is Monday at 8:45 a.m. from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 9 Garden Court Cranston, 02920. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mark Church.
