​​​Geriann Ysenbart, 51,​ of Narragansett, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at home.

Geriann Ysenbart, 51, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at home. She was the companion of Kevin Casey of Narragansett. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Donald Ysenbart of Cranston and the late Roberta (Manuppelli) Ysenbart, and was the step-daughter of Ann Ysenbart of Cranston. Geriann fought a courageous battle with cancer for over five years. She was a teacher for seventeen years at Brown Avenue Elementary School in Johnston. She loved her fourth grade kids and her very supportive and caring co-workers.

Geriann is survived by her loving children, Jessica and Nicholas, both of Narragansett and was the step-mother of Liam Casey also of Narragansett. She was the sister of Carolyn Close and her wife Dee of Cranston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME &Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
