Louis V. Sciolto, 91, previously of Cranston, passed away peacefully December 10, 2015.

Louis V. Sciolto, 91, previously of Cranston, passed away peacefully December 10, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Gloria S. (Sarcione) Sciolto. They were happily married for 66 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vito Sciolto and Mary (Regine) Sciolto.
Louis was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and was a WWII US Army Veteran in the Pacific Theater. He owned and operated a floral shop for several years and later was a very successful insurance sales representative for Prudential Insurance Company. He also conducted a monument sales business.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Vito L. Sciolto, Esq. and his wife Maureen of Cranston. He was predeceased by his son Vincent. He was the proud grandfather to Christopher and Vanessa. He was the brother of the late Dorothy S. Winters, Angela M. Iannucelli, Albert Iannuccelli, Agnes H. DeFusco, Santo C. Sciolto and is survived by a brother, Anthony Sciolto.
Louis was well liked by all and a compassionate man. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He received excellent care at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich for almost 2 years.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 8:45 a.m. from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be Monday, December 14, 2015, from 4:00 til 8:00 p.m. Contributions may be made in Louis’s memory to St. Mark’s Church, 9 Garden Court, Cranston, RI 02920 or Saint Elizabeth Home, One Saint Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, RI 02818.
