Penn Station Shooting Suspect Arrested in Cranston

Francisco Alsina was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Friday.

A man wanted in connection with the triple shooting in Midtown Manhattan near Penn Station this week has been arrested in Cranston.

Francisco Alsina, 23, was taken into custody on Friday by authorities after a manhunt that began early Monday morning.

Police said that another man, Vincent Arcona, 27, led three people out of a McDonald’s after reportedly telling them they couldn’t sell drugs near there anymore.

Once they were outside, Alsina allegedly approached and opened fire on the crowd, killing one an injuring two others.

Acrona was arrested Wednesday after he went to a Bronx hospital for an unrelated medical issue and tried to use an alias. He was recognized by hospital staff.

As for Alsina, he was caught after he went to a hospital for treatment, according to police. He was flagged when he gave his real name.

Cranston police confirmed Friday that they assisted the U.S. Marshals in apprehending Alsina.
