Plane Bound for RI Reports Laser Incident
The plane was heading to Rhode Island from Newark, New Jersey, when the crew reported a green laser was seen in the cockpit.

WARWICK, RI—A plane heading to T.F. Green Airport from Newark, New Jersey, on Monday reported a laser pointing incident to authorities.
According to a news release, the crew aboard the United Airlines flight that departed Newark Airport reported that a green laser beam was seen in the cockpit while flying over the area of Mattituck, Long Island at around 11:30 p.m.
T.F. Green Airport Police notified the the New York State Police and units were dispatched to search the area in question with negative results.

The New York State Police is investigating the incident in conjunction with the FAA Rhode Island Office.
