Police Investigating Wayside Drive Stabbing

The Cranston Police Department is investigating a Sunday night stabbing.

Police did not immediately release any details about the incident, which occurred at around 10:30 p.m.

Members of the Cranston Fire Department transported one person to the hospital with a stab wound; the victim’s condition was not immediately clear.

Initial reports indicated that the house where the stabbing occurred on Wayside Drive was the site of a home invasion.
