Police Seek Thief Of Over $1,500 In Wiring

Police say he put the expensive wiring in a cart and walked right out.

CRANSTON, RI — The Cranston Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying a man suspected of stealing over $1,500 in wiring from the Lowe's Home Improvement store on Dec. 7. The crime happened just before 8 p.m., police say.

The suspect filled his carriage with an assortment of wire rolls and walked right out, according to the police department's Facebook page.

"(H)e walked past all points of purchase without making any attempt to pay," police said. A total of $1,657 worth of wiring was stolen,

He's described as a white male in his 20s. He was wearing blue or black jeans, a red hoodie and a green jacket. He was dropped off at the Lowe's, at 247 Garfield Ave., in a dark pick-up truck, police say.
