Popular Discount Store Opens Location In Cranston

CRANSTON, RI — If you're in Cranston and looking to get "good stuff cheap," you're in luck.

Popular discount store chain Ollie's, whose slogan is, "Good stuff cheap," celebrated the grand opening of its new store at 1808 Plainfield Pike Thursday.

Billing itself as "America's largest retailer of closeout merchandise and excess inventory since 1982, Ollie's has "637+ 'semi-lovely' stores" that "sell merchandise of all descriptions and some beyond description," according to the company website.

"Our buyers scour the globe for closeouts, overstocks, package changes, manufacturer-refurbished goods, and irregulars from the finest manufacturers in the world," the Ollie's site said. "If a manufacturer makes too much of an item or changes their packaging, Ollie’s will buy the overstock at a discount & pass the savings on to you!"
