RHODE ISLAND —The Associated Press has called the race between incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. and challenger, State Rep. and Republican Minority Leader Patricia Morgan. According to AP, Whitehouse will win re-election, securing a seat most thought was safe for Democrats in the senate.

As the election continues, we still wait for the results to come in through the night and likely into Wednesday morning for several key races. All eyes, of course, are on the presidential race between main party candidates vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald J. Trump. The Associated Press has also declared Harris the winner in the Ocean State, securing her four electoral votes.

Beyond the presidential race, Rhode Island voters weighed in on races for U.S. senate, Congress, state senate, the state house, and bond questions. A few cities also voted for mayor.
